Safe Place

When kids and teens find themselves in crisis or need a place to stay, they should know how and where to get help. Our nation’s young people deserve safety and shelter and many youth feel that, at home, they don’t have either. Thanks to Safe Place, help for teens is never too far away.
National Safe Place is an outreach program designed to provide access to immediate help and safety for all youth in crisis. Locally, Safe Place is a community initiative that designates schools, fire stations, libraries and youth-friendly businesses as Safe Place sites where youth can access help and supportive resources.
Safe Place locations extend the doors of the local youth service agency or shelter to support teens in crisis situations, creating a safety net for youth. We are proud to have become of the first religious organizations on the Eastside to become a Safe Place location, and we are blessed to have been able to help dozens of at-rick teens find shelter and housing.
