Vision and Mission Statement
Our Vision is to be continually transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, we live out Jesus’ mission to change the world by loving all those within our ever-expanding reach.
We “bring good news to the poor and recovery of sight to the blind.”
We bring together the powerful and vulnerable, financially secure and financially struggling, employed and underemployed, housed and homeless, well-fed and hungry, abled and less-abled; that our eyes may be opened to see and combat injustice and prejudice including our own.
We “proclaim release to the captives and to let the oppressed go free.”
We use our resources to search for, liberate and empower victims and survivors of human trafficking or domestic violence; prisoners of conscience and those held by unjust governments, laws, systems or discrimination; those enslaved by addiction; and those oppressed by consumer debt mortgage elimination and more.
We proclaim the year of Jubilee.
We advocate for and protect those at risk of becoming homeless, use our resources and partner with others to house the temporarily or chronically homeless with: emergency shelter, transitional housing, emergency assistance, cooperative mortgage elimination and more.
Because worship is the truest expression of our deepest desire to encounter the inviting, forgiving and perfecting grace of God, we gather as the body of Christ to give thanks for, witness to and celebrate the life-changing, world-changing power of the Holy Spirit.
Our Mission is to share the love of Christ by: reaching out, accepting people as they are, nurturing and strengthening one another in our living relationship with God and going forth in faithful service and celebration.
The Mission of The United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
